There's a ferry from Dili - to and from the island each day except Monday.  It's a 3 hour boat ride and costs $5 each way.  What's on offer along the semi-secluded east-facing beach at Atauro island;
 

>>>  Paddleboard Rental:   $10 for two hours, or $20 all day.  Paddleboards are like oversized inflatable surfboards.  They can be used while sitting, kneeling or standing. It can support up to 3 adults or 6 kids.  A pair of boards can be secured side-by-side.   Note: the rental can be done as a 1 day excursion:  Arrive at island 11:30 in morning, rent a paddleboard, frollic on the sea, ...and then get your buns back to the ferry dock by 2:30 p.m. - back to Dili.

Bathroom on each of two sites.  One site has warm shower available.  The other site is more secluded, with cold shower 6 minute walk away.  Possible campsite cooking available.  Fires allowed.  Small restaurants and small shops (for provisions) nearby.  Bring your own liter bottle of drinking water. 
 
Directions:  When you depart the ferry at the concrete pier at Beloi town, Atauro island, catch a pick-up taxi going left (south), toward 'Vila' village.  We're 4 km on left side from Beloi, or 800 meters beyond the airstrip.  Look for two-letter sign on left of road: L C.  That's us.  If you get to Vila, you've gone 2 km too far.
